Are You New To Spaces

Are you new to “Live Spaces” if so let me take the time to “Welcome” you all.  Microsoft went over the top when they brought into light the newest of the “Social Networks”.  Live Spaces gives you the freedom to share what you want and with whom you want.  You are in control of your privacy.  There is so much that you can incorporate onto your “Space” whether it be blogs, photos, music and so much more you are the pilot of your “Space Craft” and the sky certainly is the limit here!

Where To Get Started

What I personally recommend is that you decide on what sort of layout and theme you want to incorporate into you “Spaces” site.  Organization is the key to making your site easy to “Navigate” and keeping your friend’s and visitor’s coming back for more!  I could spend hours upon hours giving you links to illustration’s of various people’s sites that are well organized and laid out!

When I started in my adventure with Windows Live Spaces I first sat down with a piece of paper and made columns and listed in each one things that were relevant to group together.  Just to illustrate this if you look at my main site you will notice that on the right side is all of my “Spaces Help Tutorials” and on the left are my personal item’s.  Ok, you ask “why do you do this?” it is simple…since I write as a contributor to Microsoft’s Community Clubhouse I make an attempt to keep like items together and separate my personal reflections on the opposing side.  This helps provide direction and ease of navigation to things upon my site.

Pick A Theme and A Layout

Ok Let’s Customize It click on link to the left to read my entire article where I walk you through and show you various layouts and themes you can implement into your “Spaces” site.  Of course you will have to pre-determine what sort of layout you want for yours.  Like I mentioned above sitting down with a piece of paper and sort of pre-planning your site if you will.  This is a very easy process and then you can truly begin to bring your “Spaces"" to life.

Video's and Music

One of the most frequent question's I receive is how to incorporate a Music Player of Video on Live Spaces.  For detailed instructions on how to put a music player on your space "Click Here" now if you really want to turn it up a notch and really get creative "Click Here" to learn how to take your music player from Project Playlist and put it into Windows Media Player.

Now if you want to add some video's "Click Here" for a detailed step by step tutorial for how to add video's from YouTube, GodTube and just about any other video host for those who use Windows Live Writer to publish their blogs.

Upload Photo's To Live Spaces

What would any site be without some of your favorite photo's to showcase either your family, a vacation or just some pictures that help the theme of your site along.  This by far has to be one of the easiest things to do on Live Spaces and we are going to show you how.  "Click Here" for a step by step instructional tutorial that will have you uploading photo's in no time at all.

You will, also, learn how to specify which of your albums you wish to have shown on your page.  This is helpful if you have a lot of different albums and wish to bring them to light rather than having all of your pictures being displayed.  I know it all sounds overwhelming, however, I have gone to great levels to break this down to be as easy to follow along with as possible.  Go ahead and give it a whirl.  You will be amazed at how much you can really accomplish when you set your mind to it!

Your On A Roll

Ok I could spend all night giving you a step by step breakdown of the "How To's".  Click Here to read all of my instructional helps on Live Spaces and see for yourself what you have been missing out on!  Everything from adding RSS Feeds, Gadgets and even customizing HTML.  You name it and I have probably written about it!  I done this to be of assistance to those who are new or just maybe need a little extra help along the way!
