One area that doesn’t seem to have received much of an update during the new Wave 3 changes of the Live services is a users actual space itself. I feel that there are lots of improvements that could be made to this area by the Spaces team, so here are some of my requests and a wish list of the Wave 3 changes that I would love to see.
The blog header ( i.e the header that says in this blog Spaces Wish List, Wave 3) I would dearly love to be in a much larger font than at present, but unfortunately although you can adjust the size under the ADVANCED tab in your CUSTOMISE menu, you cannot change it without it also affecting the font size in other modules such as your profile module etc, which then tends to upset the formatting inside those modules. I would dearly love to adjust the size without it affecting any other font or font size on my Spaces page. And then it can’t be made really large so I would love more choices of sizes of fonts to be made available.
Although we do have quite a few different themes to choose from already when composing how we would like our Space to look, how cool and brilliant would it be if we could also choose one of the new Themes available on all our other pages such as the Home and Profile page? Okay, we might not be able to select the ‘Dynamic’ ones to use, but I would really love to be able to make my actual Spaces page look like the rest of my Live services experience. Obviously as the Spaces themes need to really be full page, then this would require some adjustment (perhaps using the same sort of formula as users currently can use for their Theme/background in Messenger for example consisting of the ‘header’ graphics then a corresponding background colour?) All I know is that it seems strange that we now have so many choices of different Themes for the rest of Live services, but then our actual Space looks completely different.
One other area that I have always felt to be missing on my Space is that when someone leaves a comment, I would love to have a REPLY area right there on my Space and in the area of the comments made, just so that I can reply back to them immediately instead of having to either go to their Space and then leave them a message, or alternatively leave a comment on my Space. Why? Because if I reply to someone using the comment choice then it seems as if I am leaving a comment on my own post instead of actually making a reply to that person.
So what do you think to my suggestions and can you think of any more changes and update that you would love to see to your Space? And I shall keep my fingers crossed that the Spaces team reads this!
