One of the new features to be found in the newest version of WRITER available from HERE is that you are now able to retrieve up to 500 of your previous posts to edit inside WRITER. So say you are reading backlogs of your posts on Windows Live and notice a mistake or even if you would just like to add something else to that particular post or even delete it , then its now possible to do that inside WRITER for up to the last 500 posts that you published on Windows Live.
Here’s how. From inside WRITER
1. Click on FILE in the top left hand corner of the MENU bar.
2. Then in the drop down list click on OPEN.
3. You will now be presented with a new window which contains a list on the left hand side. It reads from the top DRAFTS, RECENTLY POSTED, and then continues with a list of your blogs. In my particular case I have three. I will choose the LIVING WITH LIVE blog which is this one.
4. Immediately that you choose your blog WRITER will begin to bring down the first 50 posts from your blog as this is the default number. But what if the blog in question was way back, say as much as 500 posts back? No problem!
5. Where it says SHOW 50 ITEMS at the top of the window, just click on the 50 and then select 500, and hey presto WRITER will then fetch the other posts down. Of course if you haven’t got 500 posts on your blog, then WRITER will bring down however many there are available.
6. Now scroll down the list of your previous posts until you arrive at the one that you want to edit.
7. Click on it and it will turn blue. Then click on OK.
Your post will then load into the COMPOSE window so that you can make any changes that you wish. Once you are finished then just click on PUBLISH to resend your now altered post back up to Windows Live.
8. If you choose to DELETE that particular post instead, then just click on DELETE at the top right hand side of the window. You will then receive a warning that if you DELETE that particular post it will also be DELETED from your LIVE SPACE as well.
Don’t say you weren’t warned!
