The Digital Workshop recently launched two new classes:

Your Away From Home Movie - Using the newly updated Windows Live Movie Maker version
A New Window to Your World - learn some of the updated features of the great new Windows 7 operating system.

These hands on classes will walk you through some of the great new options available to you.

Both sessions have exciting features that will make "getting everyday things done faster and easier".  For instance, you can make a movie, from a day in port, in less than a minute…and with Windows 7 you open files in 2 clicks of the mouse from the Windows 7 taskbar and jumplist.

One guest attended yesterday for the first time and I had the opportunity to see Windows 7 in action on an Acer Netbook.  It works great!  Fast and reliable, considering how little memory some of those Netbooks have - it was blazing!

A number of the guests here on the Grand Voyage cruise on the ms Amsterdam have been on the ship since before the official release of Windows 7, October 22, 2009. Some have ordered the update or full release while on board and will have it shipped to their house, but coming to the new class session allows them to test drive it before they arrive home early next month.  They now anxiously await their return to the States, while still enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of the South Pacific.

Check out the new sessions on your next cruise...even if you've attended the digital workshop in the past there is always something new to learn, as Guy D will tell you in the video module on this site.  Thanks Guy for sharing your thoughts with us!
