I would just love trying to write something for the “Clubhouse Challenge: Consumer Electronics Show”, but to tell you the truth I’m not really a “geek” when it comes to new technology. Markus has made the challenge though with these posts in the Clubhouse and here at Challenge Central. So here’s my story: I use new technology more out of need than necessity. Here are a few examples of what I’m talking about: I don’t have a lot of money to spend on new electronic gadgets every year, but I wanted a new RAZR phone and I wrote about it in this post The Secret: Technology. [Clubhouse]

Now I barely know how to use this phone other than the basics; you know it rings and I answer it, but the manual for the phone is really thick and the things that it can do is amazing: If I only knew how to work all the features, and that’s really my problem with new technology. How to remember how to work all the features? Same thing goes with this new digital camera that I’m trying to learn how to use the Canon PowerShot. It has so many features and its manual is really thick too. I took these pictures with it the other day, but I have the camera set to auto, because I’m having trouble figuring out all the menus on the camera. I find that using these new technologies is a bit overwhelming, to me, to say the least.

Here are the pictures I was talking about:

I think the new technology is great and I’m always interested in what’s new at the Consumer Electronics Show, but I’m hoping things don’t get so complicated I can’t even drive a new car, if you know what I mean…The North American International Auto Show is just wrapping up here in Detroit, Michigan this weekend, where you can see the cars of the future today! I’m just hoping these cars of the future don’t get too complicated with their technology that I can’t even figure out how to start and drive one!

Thanks for Listening,
