I have just noticed we can use Remote Assistance via MSN Messenger.  I have used it before via QQ. Wow, it is surprised me when I first tried it. It is a very convenient way when you want to ask an expert to correct any problems on your computer directly and walk you through the solution. The best way to fix a problem is to have someone to show you how it works.

I would like to share with all the friends this great feature in Windows Live.

Please temporarily disable all firewall appliances before
requesting a remote assistance session!

Here is the few simple step to initiate Remote Assistance via MSN Messenger.

  1. Sign in to MSN Messenger.
  2. Within MSN Messenger, click Actions (Appear on the first Row once you open your messenger screen) , and then click on Ask for Remote Assistance...
  3. You will see all your messenger contact list on the pop up screen.
  4. Click on the one whom you want to ask for help (the person must be online too). Send out your request.
    1. if you have a microphone, you can talk to the technician in real time using the Audio feature of Messenger.
    2. After connecting to your computer, the other party (even he/she is far far away in this world)  can view your screen and chat online with you about what you both see.
    3. With your permission, he/she can use his or her mouse and keyboard to work with you on your computer.
  5. Of course you can stop the conection at any time.
  6. There is a problem if your internet speed too slow, you will see a blank screen.

Anyone tried this feature VIA MSN MESSENGER before?
