I would like to migrate over to Windows Live Spaces for blogging but I have a lot of friends on LiveJournal so I was wondering, how can I let my LJ friends know when I’ve updated my WLS?

Fortunately, LJ has a feature called syndication. With it (and having a paid account) you can create a syndicated journal for an external RSS feed.

Go here and add the feed at the bottom, give it a short name reference and that’s it.

I created one for my blog feed at http://syndicated.livejournal.com/john_wls/.

Just get your friends to add the syndicated journal as a friend.

They update periodically, not instantly, so posts might take a few minutes to show up.
