I thought there would be many of you wanting to add some sort of banner to your Windows Live Space this post should help you complete that task.

I tried several times to add a banner to my Live Space and found I could not get the whole banner to display correctly so I keep trying until I found out what I was doing wrong. When you add a custom HTML banner to your Windows Live page you also need to create a Custom HTML

  • Click on the Customize tab to begin adding your custom HTML page them click on Add Modules

  • You now need to add the HTML modules scroll down to continue

  • Click on the add tab to customize your HTML page

  • After you have created your custom HTML page you will be able to add your custom Banner

  • Place your HTML banner codes in the custom html box using the codes I have placed below then click Publish

  • Ok here is were I discovered how to correctly place your HTML codes in order to have your banner show evenly so you can see the complete banner on your Windows Live Space.

  • This section is one of the key features to place your Modules were you would like them to be on your Live page. Just choose how you want your layout to look and click on the correct setting shown below

  • This screen shot should give you a good view of what your page will look like once you have chosen how to place your modules, this feature will allow you to change every aspect of Windows Live page and place your custom banner at the top were it can be viewed

Important: Make sure when you create a custom banner you have a Hosting service that will allow direct linking most service will now allow this kind of direct linking so you should always read there Terms of Services.
