I received notification that I was accepted as a Windows® 7 Launch Party host this morning.  To say I’m excited would be an understatement!  I’ve planned my party for October 22 @ 8PM.  Logging into the House Party website I was presented with a host of videos, how-to’s, and tips for hosting a successful party.  The videos are very well done and the list of proposed activities is enough to keep everyone busy all night.  My only concern is that I’m overzealous and want to show off every new feature available in Windows® 7 :)    

If you haven’t heard of the Windows® 7 Launch Party, there’s still time to act and apply to be a party host.  Parties are generally up to 10 people whereby you host the Launch for Windows® 7 using your own style and party theme.  Microsoft provides some party favors, handouts and other items necessary to host your own perfect party.  In addition, you receive a Signature Edition of Windows 7 Ultimate in both 32 and 64 bit versions for being selected as a host.

You don’t have to be a Windows® 7 expert to host a party, just show off the features you like best and how you use it in your everyday activities.  The Host Tips and FAQ’s also provide a wealth of helpful info.  Above all else, remember you are not a salesperson, you’re just showing your family a friends the new features of Windows® 7.  Make it FUN!
