Have you heard about the “Video Messages Team Blog?” I heard about it this weekend and made My First Windows Live
Messages Video! I found this on Wikipedia about the service’s preview release date of September 9, 2008, and I wondered why I hadn’t heard about it before? Marcus posted this about the service Stay Closer with Windows Live Video Messages Beta, and it made me wonder why I hadn’t tried using the video messaging before?
I think the reason that I made my first
video message the other day was because
now I have this new computer with a built in webcam. It makes using my webcam convenient and the video service from Windows Live doesn’t have to be like some kind of a secret for me anymore.

I wrote this yesterday in a LiveSoapbox discussion group I belong to:
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to respond to Technogran’s question, “Have any of you used this service?” I used it for
the first time yesterday and wrote this post My First Windows Live Messages Video! I believe it was Jeffrey’s group discussion that I saw yesterday that made me check it out LiveSide.com - sounds interesting!! Has anyone tried it yet? And yes I did try out using Windows Live Messages Beta and made a message video.
I don’t know if I can figure out a way to use the Windows Live Video Messaging service regularly,
but it was fun to make the video yesterday. I had one of my friends ask to see the video so it wasn’t like no one saw it, and besides it gave me something to write about in my blog. Thanks Jeffrey for starting the discussion group. The Video Messages Team even left a comment on my post and re-tweeted it on Twitter. I was surprised that anyone even saw my story and responded, so that was cool.
I just think that video messaging is so futuristic and besides it’s a lot better than typing, but it’s also very hard to read a video!
I wanted to write about the Windows Live Video Messages Beta service in the Clubhouse hoping that maybe you’d use it and send me a video message…That’s what I’m trying to do today to make the Clubhouse more interactive is to get you to use the service and send me a video message so I can see The People Behind The Keyboard!
I will be looking for your Video Message!
A New Windows Live Community
Thanks for Listening,
Jeff
