We know the golden rule, do unto others what you wish to be done to you. It works in most situation, including online relationship.
One of those is, opens up yourself. When trying to find a friend, it’s annoying to see these kind of Spaces.
It says, you have to send mail to the owner of the Space to just be able to view the page. If it’s a total stranger’s space, maybe it’s more acceptable, but for friends you already had as Messenger contacts for example, makes it even more annoying.
So, I don’t remember the default setting, but it’s recommended that if you use your space, set the permission to allow others to see your contents.
This is available in the Options --> Permission in the Space’s top right (under the header).
But, only do this if you do mean to share to others. If you actually had a good reason why the content should be private, that’s why we have permission setting.
